Shelby and Mitchell’s luxury wedding at Wynyard Hall was the perfect mix of modern romance, fashion-forward style, and all-day celebration. Set at the stunning Wynyard Hall, their wedding felt less like a traditional event and more like stepping into the pages of a high-end editorial shoot—effortlessly stylish, beautifully curated, and full of personality.

From the beginning…

Shelby and Mitchell had a vision for a contemporary, design-led celebration, and every detail reflected that. The couple leaned into a chic, editorial aesthetic that felt fresh, modern, and undeniably cool. Think fashion magazine meets timeless English country house.

One of the standout design elements of the day was the incredible drapery used throughout the venue. Soft, flowing fabrics were installed to transform the spaces, creating a look that was both dramatic and elegant. The draping added movement, texture, and a sense of intimacy to the grand interiors of Wynyard Hall, giving the whole setting a modern, editorial vibe.

The result? A luxury wedding at Wynyard Hall that felt completely unique. Instead of traditional décor, Shelby and Mitchell opted for a design that was minimal but impactful. The styling focused on clean lines, beautiful textures, and carefully curated details that allowed each element to shine. Every corner felt thoughtfully designed, creating the perfect backdrop for photos—and for an unforgettable celebration.

Of course, the fashion moment of the day belonged to Shelby. She wore a breathtaking gown by Mariana Hardwick, a designer known for sculptural silhouettes and effortlessly modern bridal style. The dress was the definition of chic: elegant, structured, and completely timeless with a contemporary twist. It perfectly captured the fashion-forward feel of the entire day and looked incredible against the stylish backdrop of the venue.

Music played a huge role in creating the atmosphere throughout the day, with live performances from Luke Burr setting the tone from start to finish. His incredible voice brought warmth and energy to every moment, from the ceremony through to the evening celebrations. Having live music all day created such a vibrant and joyful vibe, keeping guests smiling, dancing, and fully immersed in the experience.

The editorial-inspired décor paired perfectly with the historic charm of Wynyard Hall, creating a gorgeous contrast between classic architecture and modern design. It was the kind of setting that makes every moment feel a little bit magical.

They chose a beautifully simple and timeless palette of all white and cream, which worked perfectly with the light, airy feel of The Fig House and the surrounding gardens. Everything was soft, romantic, and incredibly elegant —  crisp white florals, flowing fabrics, and natural textures that blended effortlessly into the venue’s walled garden setting.

The ceremony took place outdoors, with guests gathered in the garden surrounded by late summer greenery. It was relaxed, emotional, and filled with laughter — exactly the kind of ceremony that feels true to the couple. Jody looked effortlessly stunning in a sleek, modern gown, and Uwais couldn’t stop smiling (or dancing — even before the dancefloor officially opened).

The reception was held inside the Fig House, where tables were set with candles, soft linens, and plenty of white florals. Everything felt thoughtful but unfussy — stylish without trying too hard. Speeches had everyone in bits (both laughing and crying), and by the time dinner wrapped up, you could feel the anticipation building for the party to come.

And wow – what a party. The dancefloor kicked off fast and did not slow down. Jody and Uwais barely left it all night! From start to finish, this was a day filled with joy, dancing, and so much love.

A Chic London City Elopement with Comedian Sam Fenton & Harriette

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen all sorts of love stories—but this one? Pure magic. When comedian Sam Fenton and his stunning partner Harriette got in touch about photographing their chic London City elopement, I knew it was going to be something truly special. And it was. Stylish, intimate, modern—and completely them.

From the beginning…

They chose to tie the knot in secret at the beautiful Orleans House Gallery in Richmond, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. Tucked away near the Thames, Orleans House has that mix of historic charm and understated elegance that gives everything a timeless feel. The Octagon Room, with its soft natural light and ornate details, made for the most romantic and serene ceremony space.

The vibe of the day was low-key luxury. No big crowd. No fuss. Just love, laughs, and a whole lot of style. Sam, known for his sharp wit and on-stage charisma, was all smiles (and just a tiny bit nervous), while Harriette looked absolutely radiant in a modern, minimal gown paired with soft waves and glowing makeup. Think effortless cool, not overdone.

The ceremony itself was quiet and deeply personal. A few close friends were present, but the whole thing was wrapped in this beautiful sense of privacy and presence—you could tell they were soaking in every moment together. As a photographer, moments like that are golden. No posing, no pressure, just real emotion.

After the “I do’s,” we wandered through Richmond for portraits, and this is where the “chic London City elopement” feel really came alive. Richmond is one of my favourite spots to shoot—its blend of elegant Georgian architecture, cobbled lanes, and leafy riverside paths makes every corner feel like a film set.

Sam and Harriette were naturals in front of the camera. Their chemistry? Effortless. We captured everything from soft, romantic shots under the arches of the gallery, to editorial-style portraits by the river, and candid laughs outside little cafés and ivy-covered walls. They brought the fun, the fashion, and the kind of love that’s impossible to fake.

One of my favourite images from the day is of the two of them walking hand-in-hand along the towpath, city buzz in the background, but completely in their own bubble. That’s what I love most about photographing city elopements—you get this amazing contrast between the energy of London and the intimacy of just two people choosing each other.
