Summer wedding at Grantley Hall…
I don’t think there’s a better place to spend a sunny day in Yorkshire than at Grantley Hall. This Summer Wedding at Grantley Hall had everything you could ask for – blue skies, incredible styling, the loveliest people and one of those dance floors that nobody wanted to leave…
These two knew exactly how they wanted the day to feel. Modern, stylish and a bit of a party from the very beginning. The black and white colour palette gave everything such a timeless look, while the gorgeous white florals by Fulford Flowers softened every space without taking anything away from the beauty of the venue itself.
One of my favourite parts of this Summer Wedding at Grantley Hall was the outdoor ceremony. Yorkshire weather can be a gamble, but when it comes off, it’s pretty special. Watching everyone gathered outside in the gardens, with the sunshine, the flowers and a few happy tears, was one of those moments you can’t help but smile while you’re photographing it.
After the ceremony, everyone spilled out onto the terrace with a drink in hand, catching up with family and friends while making the most of the sunshine. These quieter parts of the day are some of my favourites to capture because people stop thinking about the camera and just enjoy themselves.
We sneaked away for a few portraits before dinner, making the most of the evening light around the grounds. One of the reasons I love photographing a Summer Wedding at Grantley Hall is that you don’t have to search for beautiful backdrops!
And then came the evening…
As much as I love beautiful details, it’s always the atmosphere I remember. The laughter, the hugs, the terrible dance moves and the moments nobody planned.
If you’re planning a Summer Wedding at Grantley Hall, you’re already off to a pretty good start. It’s an amazing venue with so many opportunities for beautiful photographs, but more importantly, it’s a place where people can properly relax and enjoy themselves.
If that sounds like your kind of wedding, I’d love to come along and tell the story of it—without making you spend half the day posing for the camera.
