Woodlands Hotel Wedding Photography… A modern wedding full of glamour, energy and good vibes!
Nicola and Adam were married at the incredible Woodlands Hotel in Leeds. A modern venue filled with so much natural light, it really is a photographers dream! I asked Nicola to tell me more about her wedding day…
I’d say quite unique rather than traditional, white bridesmaid dresses to start with ha! Me and Adam are not that close to the majority of our family, hence why only our closest family members are coming. It’s going to be quite a young and fun wedding with lots of our friends there who are of a similar age to us. I’m hoping it’s going to be quite classy and stunning, but boujee at the same time. From the photos I want elegance during the morning and for the ceremony, but when it gets to the food and dancing, we want everyone to be up and having a good time!I the bride am not a relaxed person, I’m very on the go none stop and like everything single detail to be perfect – hence many breakdowns about perfecting this wedding. Adam is the complete opposite, very laid back and a chilled out guy but I guess it just works?! I’m hoping that I can destress on the wedding day and watch all the hard work come to life.
We’re very fun people and so are our friends, so I’m hoping it’s wild (to some extent) and everyone has the most amazing day. I’m the type of person who is on the dance floor first… Adam would prefer to be at the bar lol. But I’m hoping on the day that his dancing moves come out the bag, because if he does, all the groomsman and friends will follow! I’m so open to swinging napkins half way through food, dancing on chairs and getting the party started, so anything you can do to help make it a lively one would be greatly appreciated! The Woodlands Hotel is the perfect venue for us as it’s modern and spacious and has a touch of glamour!
The Dress!
The huge trail on the skirt – when fluffed in the air and let sit, it’s just gorgeous. I also love the glitter that shines through it too. It’s just mega, dramatic and EXTRA and that’s why I love it. The skirt is detachable so it would be nice to get some pictures without it on as it looks like a completely different dress and is still so beautiful, but I don’t plan on taking the skirt off until after the evening guests have arrived and after the first dance has taken place.
The bridesmaid dresses have been made to measure by @bridesmaidbyjb. They are white with a high neck, fishtail bottom, low back and small trail. They are fitted from the waist down. They just scream elegance! All groomsman are in tuxs and black bow ties whilst the girls are in white. The theme is very neutral with white roses & gypsophila, black and white table decor & stationary.
