Welcome!
My name is Hannah and I offer newborn photography in Holmfirth Huddersfield. If you’re reading this then I’m guessing you are having a baby or have just had one in which case a huge congratulations to you!
I recently had a baby so I understand how important this time in your life is. I know that our children are the centre of our universe therefore newborn photos are a great way to capture them during this special time.
When I had my baby I knew I wanted to capture him in his gorgeous newborn phase. From this I decided to do some more professional newborn photography training so I could photograph lots more teeny tiny babies! I opened up a lovely little studio to offer newborn photography in Holmfirth Huddersfield and from here parents can enjoy a lovely relaxing shoot drinking tea, coffee, hot chocolate and eating cake whilst I photograph their beautiful little newborns!

My Style.
My approach to newborn photography is modern and creative. Whilst I still include some of the classic and more traditional poses, I love to get creative using beautiful props such as flowers, hand knitted bonnets and handmade baskets which your baby will look adorable in! My modern approach to newborn photography ensures your images are stylish and individual. The dramatic use of light and shadow is part of my signature style.
My training
I have a first class honours degree in photography and over ten years experience in various fields of photography. You can see my wedding photography here which is of a similar editing style to my newborn photography – the photos have depth, rich colours and are stylish and modern.
I have undergone professional newborn training and workshops including training in newborn safety. Newborn safety is the most important and I ALWAYS put the babies safety and comfort above anything else. I also hold a current CRB/ DBS certificate.

How does it work?
You can book in any time after your 20 week scan. I shoot a limited number of sessions so please book in as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Of course your baby could come at any time, therefore I will schedule the shoot in my diary for two weeks either side of your due date. I do require a £100 deposit to secure the booking which is paid via bank transfer. The remaining balance is due the day of the shoot either in cash or by bank transfer.
Newborn sessions take place between two and fourteen days after the birth. When you have had your little one, you just send me a text message or quick email to let me know you’ve given birth. We’ll arrange a time for you to come down to the studio. The reason it’s done between two and fourteen days is so baby is still sleepy during the shoot and can curl up into womb like positions. This makes the experience even more comfortable and relaxing for the baby. Unfortunately the shoot won’t be able to go ahead if the baby is older than fourteen days so please get in touch as soon as you can after the birth.
After the shoot I will begin hand editing your photographs. After around three weeks you will receive your online gallery.

What will I receive?
I’m not a fan of over complicated packages and confusing add-ons, so I do things a little differently to most newborn photographers. Usually photographers charge a session fee. Then you are paying again for certain ‘packages’ when it comes to the actual images.
However I offer just one simple option for which includes:
* A 2 – 5 hour photo shoot in the comfort of my studio with unlimited tea, coffee and cake!
* Use of props and accessories
* 20 full resolution images hand edited in my signature style
* Your own private, password protected online gallery containing the high resolution images ready for printing and sharing.
*Unlimited download access for the photos for one year and full print rights.

If printed photos are of particular importance to you just let me know. I work closely with a fantastic fine art printers so I can arrange prints for you.

My Studio
I’m a Holmfirth newborn photographer and my lovely little studio is conveniently placed with free parking. The studio is all in one room so you can put your feet up feet up and watch me work. I have a coffee machine, tea, hot chocolate and cakes in my studio. I want the experience to be as relaxing as possible for you.
It’s really important for your baby to have a full tummy before the shoot begins therefore I will ask you to give them a full feed before you set off to the studio. I’ll then ask you to give baby a quick “top up” feed when you arrive if needed. This ensures your baby remains happy throughout the shoot. I may ask you to give another feed during the shoot if baby is seeming hungry so please bring enough bottles with you if you are not breast feeding. If you would like some privacy whilst you feed that’s not a problem at all, just tell me to bugger off!
