So as summer is coming to an end and the wonderful season of autumn is upon us, I thought it would be a great opportunity to put together a styled wedding shoot with a gorgeous autumnal feel. Although the leaves haven’t quite turned yet, those gorgeous rich and fiery tones we will soon be seeing all around us are featured all throughout this shoot. With most weddings being in the spring and summer season, my style of photography is usually quite bright as I feel this reflects both the time of year and the feel of most wedding days. However I decided to edit this shoot is a little ‘moodier’ than usual using darker tones to fit with the overall theme.

The location was an amazing place in Slaithwaite in Huddersfield called Flowers From the Garden. This is a gorgeous flower garden and workshop, where Alison the lovely owner makes the most amazing handmade bouquets and flower arrangements for all occasions using flowers picked fresh from this very garden. She regularly holds workshops too and it was in this gorgeous workshop that the preparations for our shoot took place. The handmade bouquet and button hole seen in this shoot were made just hours before and the flowers in Emma’s hair were picked there and then! Now that’s what you call fresh flowers!

Models Emma Ross and Callum Hawley were our bride and groom and what a lovely romantic pair they made! Emma wore a gorgeous boho inspired Katya Kayta Shehurina dress from Dotty Bridal Boutique in Huddersfield which fit perfectly with our autumnal boho theme. Hair and make up was by the very talented Jen Eachus and I particularly liked the long elaborate braid in Emma’s hair with gorgeous red flowers delicately assembled by Alison. Emma’s wild flower bouquet was of course hand made by Alison too and I can’t get enough of those deep purples and pinks along with the gorgeous earthy greens!
